Wolfgang Geiseler (born 1944) studied chemistry at the RWTH Aachen University, where he earned his Ph. D. in physical chemistry in 1974 with Prof. Dr. U. Franck. In 1976 he joined the group of Prof. Dr. R. Kosfeld at the Duisburg University for postdoctoral research in the field of NMR spectroscopy of polymers. In 1977 Geiseler moved to the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, where he obtained a permanent position as the head of the Analytical Labs. His research interests focussed to complex chemical reactions including chemical oscillations and to the dynamics and stability of continously operated chemical reactors. In 1996 Wolfgang Geiseler extended his professional activities to the management of the family-owned Krickel & Geiseler GbR, Aachen.
